Projects
This month, ACEEU EU Projects Unit is turning ideas into action, connecting institutions across Europe, empowering learners and educators, and tackling real-world challenges from community engagement to climate anxiety.
EPiCS empowers students, researchers, and communities to co-create knowledge through citizen science, bridging academia and society. The project will soon lunch the EPiCS MOOC to train students and researchers on citizen science, research service learning, co-design methodologies and participatory practices.
RISE UP aims to address the mental health impacts of climate change on young adults in HE. The project adapted the GreenComp Framework for HEIs, supported by a Policy Brief and Educators’ Toolbox, to equip professionals to address climate anxiety. A student-facing Assessment Tool and Knowledge Hub are also set to go online.
The ACE Alliance in HE advances community engagement through collaboration and peer learning across Europe. ACE Platform, featuring a matchmaking tool and digital storytelling room, launches support partnerships between universities and communities.
ESG4SMEs develops the ESG Manager role for rural SMEs. Its Steinfurt conference, co-organised by WESt mbH and energieland2050 e.V., gathered 50 ESG representatives and consultants for hands-on exchange, turning insights into practical business approaches.
